Short Breaks Survey
As many of you know a key part of HPCI’s role is to gather the views and experiences of parents/carers of children and young people with SEND. This survey is to help us better understand the demand for, or interest in, a possible new sport/health based Short Break provision in Hertfordshire.  We are working with an organisation called Sport Works on this project. The survey will be open until Sunday 28 February.
We will share the results with Sport Works to help inform the development of their service.  As usual responses will be anonymous.

Plans for new Cambridge Children’s Hospital – a chance to be involved.
Plans by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Trust to develop a new Cambridge Children’s Hospital are gathering pace. This hospital will be more than just a hospital, it will integrate physical and mental health and will be located on the Addenbrookes site in Cambridge (https://www.cambridgechildrens.org.uk/)
The Trust is launching the Cambridge Children’s Network, giving young people, families and carers a chance to get involved in shaping how the hospital looks and the care it provides.
It’s easy to sign up and you can be involved as much or as little as you like, from taking part in online surveys to playing lead roles in more detailed projects.
The hospital project team hopes you will join them on this exciting journey. They are really looking forward to working with you. Signing up takes two minutes.
If you’re a young person aged 14-25, you can sign up here.
If you’re a family member or carer, you can sign up here.

National Cabinet Office survey
The Disability Unit at the Cabinet Office is developing a National Strategy for Disabled People. Publication is planned for Spring 2021.
They currently have a survey open to help them understand the barriers that disabled people face and what they may need to focus upon to improve the lives of disabled people, they need to hear people’s views and know more about people’s experiences.  The link to the survey is https://disabilityunit.citizenspace.com/cabinet-office/ukdisabilitysurvey/
The survey will be open until 23 April 2021. Responses received before 13 February 2021 will inform the development of the National Strategy, while those received after this date would be used to inform its delivery. This form should take you around 20 to 30 minutes to complete and can be saved as you progress. More information can be found on the above link.  If you have any questions, need support to complete this or would like this in any other format please contact their support team directly.  ducitizenspace@cabinetoffice.gov.uk.
